This weekend I had grand plans
for us to get outdoors; firstly I wanted to go to some woods we used to walk
our dogs in when I was younger. The are about a 20 minute drive from our house
so we set off only to get there and find that the road was closed and we
couldn't get to them. Then I thought on the way back we could stop in my old
village and walk on the linear path, this too was shut for maintenance work! By
this time Lucas was getting ready for lunch so we just headed home very
disappointed with our outdoor fun.
Luckily, earlier in the week we found a new playground tucked away near Grandma's house and had a great hour playing on it. The equipment was good for Lucas, we had it all to ourselves and the sun came out. It was a lovely way to spend the morning, just us two.
Any time outdoors is better than none - I hate it when things aren't as you remember though!
